A private room is ideal when a user would like to have conversations with a limited number of people or invite individuals outside an organization to participate. Only members of a private room can see it and its contents.

Public rooms in KnowledgeNet can only be created by someone with Administrator status. In contrast, every user, regardless of privileges, has the ability to create a private room.

To create a private room, click on the "Private Chat Rooms" link in the main menu.

Click the button to "Create New Private Room." Give your room a name and click "OK"

Your room is instantly created and ready for you to invite users to join. You may invite members of your organization or external users to join you in a private room.
